Singing for adults – all levels welcome
Offerton is just along the A626 from my Marple studio, and the 384 bus runs between the two, stopping in Rose Hill close to me. However you travel, lessons are only a short hop away.
I teach adults who want to sing with more freedom, confidence and control. We’ll work on the technical side – breathing, pitch, tone and range – through the music you love, whether that’s pop, rock, folk or musical theatre.
Lessons come in 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions. Shorter, more frequent lessons are ideal if you’re learning to sing in tune, while longer lessons give more time to experiment and work on whole songs.
My home studio is in Marple. Prefer to stay at home? Online lessons are the same price.

I really couldn’t sing in tune and thought I was a no-hoper but Mags reassured me over the phone that it was possible to learn. She’s a brave lady taking me on! I’m starting to recognise when I’m in tune now whereas before I hadn’t a clue; and whilst I’m not the best of singers, I can definitely hear the improvement in my tuning and voice strength.
Mags is an absolutely amazing teacher. I can’t tell you how nervous I was on my first lesson but Mags put me at my ease and very slowly we have found my voice. A year later I have done 3 public performances and even enrolled on a week long singing course.
She is kind and funny and incredibly encouraging. So even if you are convinced you have no voice, you may just surprise yourself!

Mags has transformed my voice from what could best be described as a window-shattering strangled cat to something very passable! We’ve tackled some fab power ballads and I can now sing my heart out in the car without my passengers demanding ear plugs. Thirty minutes is ideal if you're learning to sing in tune or want frequent lessons. Forty-five minutes suits most people, and an hour gives you time to relax and experiment.
